Although the core is used as the main form of control in most games, the d-pad takes precedence because it is a way to control the system. Navigate the menus, viewing photos, etc, fast forward videos or music, etc. The only thing I really like the PSP-3000 is that the position of the analog and base pad d-are well designed.
