ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – New documents were released Thursday in the case against Casey Anthony that reveal what George and Cindy Anthony told investigators in the hours and days after Caylee Anthony was reported missing.
The State Attorney’s Office released 500 pages of new documents in the case Thursday and they show that George Anthony told investigators he felt something was wrong from the very beginning. The documents focus a lot on interviews George and Cindy Anthony did with sheriff’s deputies.
When sheriff’s investigators questioned Casey’s father George nine days after Caylee was reported missing, George told them he had “bad vibes” the very first day he got his car back and smelled the smell in the trunk, a smell, he said as a former law enforcement officer, he knows and would never forget.
Casey’s father George told investigators, “I don’t want to believe that I have, have raised someone and brought someone in this world that could do something to another person. I don’t want to believe that.”
George also told them, “I, I, I believe that there’s someone dead back there and I hate to say the word human. Um, I hate to say that.”
George told them, when he opened the trunk of the car, he said to himself, “Please don’t let this be my Caylee.”

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Did Casey Anthony kill her own daughter with chloroform? Eyewitness News has learned someone was looking up the recipe to cook up the chemical on Casey’s home computer around the same time Caylee disappeared.
There was evidence of high levels of chloroform in the trunk of Casey’s car and sheriff’s investigators found that someone on Casey Anthony’s computer was researching not where to buy chloroform, but how to make it yourself, which can be done easily.
Eyewitness News legal analyst Bill Sheaffer says, if you were up to no good, there would be an advantage to making it as opposed to buying it.
When you Google “how do you make chloroform,” more than a million websites are listed with instructions. On the first one, page one had an explicit warning about chloroform’s dangers, calling the chemical extremely dangerous and unpredictable and warning never to allow children to come near chloroform.
FBI lab tests show high levels of chloroform in the trunk of Casey’s car, where investigators say Caylee’s body had been. And there was a mysterious stain in the trunk along with Caylee’s hairs and dirt.
“Another piece of evidence in the circumstantial chain,” Sheaffer said.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A childhood friend of Casey Anthony spoke out Thursday on CNN’s Nancy Grace about what Cindy Anthony told her the day after Caylee was reported missing.
“The morning of the 16th, when I talked to Cindy, she told me that she believes Casey was guilty of something. She did not know what, but she didn’t care if it meant that Casey ended up behind bars for the rest of her life as long as she got Caylee home,” said Brittany Schieber.
Friday at 10:00am, the State Attorney’s Office is releasing the 2 hour long videotaped interview, with Caylee’s grandmother Cindy which was done two weeks after she reported Caylee missing. They will also release text messages, hundreds of documents and cell phone records.
Schieber also said that from June 9 until Casey was arrested in July, she was constantly texting her about going out and she could not understand how Casey had so much free time when she had a 2-year-old daughter.
Prosecutors are also releasing Casey’s computer records, which show that Casey deleted Yahoo mail and some photographs of Caylee.

Talk about some good inside dirt!! It will be interesting to see what the computer evidence is. I think they said it won’t be released to the public before the trail.
An Orange County sheriff’s deputy was fired for not telling the truth about his relationship with Caylee’s mom Casey Anthony. While Casey was visiting her lawyer Tuesday, Eyewitness News learned that Deputy Tony Rusciano was fired.
It turns out Rusciano met Casey’s ex-fiancé, Jesse Grund, while at the police academy. Grund introduced him to Casey Anthony and they began a relationship. But when Rusciano was questioned by detectives about it, they said he denied a relationship.
Detectives got computer records that proved the two had been communicating. Detectives said Rusciana lied twice about their relationship until he was confronted with the records. Deputy Rusciano was still a probationary employee, so he was fired for lying on August 22.
“This is something we will not tolerate under any circumstances or any case especially a case that has national implications. We’re talking about a situation where we’re expending many man hours,” said Capt. Angelo Nieves, Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Sources told Eyewitness News the deputy had nothing to do with Caylee’s disappearance.

California Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla has arrived in Orlando to try to bail Casey Anthony out of jail today. No word if this will actually happen or not. Casey did deny another visit from her parents today. Supposedly Leonard Padilla is a “famous” bounty hunter who had his own show on National Geographics. I have to say that I’ve never heard or seen of this guy before now. He also thinks he will be able to get Casey to open up to him about Caylee’s whereabouts and that he can do it in 7 days.
“We’ll have people with her 24/7. It has a lot to do with a lot of things,” Leonard Padilla told Eyewitness News by phone on Friday (raw interview). “One is investment. Another is the fact that the more you know someone, the more you trust them.”
In my opinion, this is all just a big publicity stunt for him, but if he can do what he says, it will indeed make him famous. I personally think she needs to stay in jail. If not for anything else, for her own safety. There are too many frustrated and angry people who could possibly want to take things into their own hands.
Let’s all hope for the safe return of that little girl and hope it’s not too late.
