John Mayer endorsed Democrat presidential nomineeBarack Obama on Wednesday.
“Obama gives me the feeling that I could be alive to witness one of the most brilliant upturns in a country’s history,” he blogs on The Huffington Post. “What a concept.”
“That’s why hope is a worthwhile commodity,” he adds. “To those who question whether hope is a tangible product worth building a campaign around, I’d say take a look at despair and how powerful that has been in reshaping how people think and live.
“I believe the definition of the ‘hope’ that Barack Obama enthuses operates on the unspoken thesis that there has to be a polar opposite to the despair of 9/11. Because if we accept that there’s not, the will to live becomes forever altered.
“To adults who will vote for him, Barack Obama represents a return to prosperity,” he writes. “To the youth, he represents an introduction to it.”
Anyone watching last night’s debates knows the McCain-Palin ticket, for all intents and purposes, is over. He walked around as if he were a lost, senile old man. Oh wait, HE IS!! He was repetitive, avoided questions (as did Obama, i.e. mandated healthcare), seemed out of breath, and stumbled around with words as if he were flustered. This was his “setting”! The town hall setting that he so has begged for for months! So why did he fail to do what he needed to do?
Poor judgement also was a key to McCain’s downfall last night. He seemed dehumanized when calling Obama “That One”. What a washed up piece of republican trash. We don’t live back in the day where it’s ok and perfectly acceptable (not that it EVER was in my book) to treat people so poorly McCain. It’s time to man up and treat EVERY human being as just that, A HUMAN BEING. It wouldn’t doubt me in the least bit if it came out that you are calling Obama the “N” word behind closed doors along with all of your red-neck, good-ol-boy supporters.
Get back on message to what the majority of American people want and care to talk about (energy, healthcare, education, jobs), not what the small percentage of small-minded, ignorant Americans in this country think, because guess what, THEY WON’T WIN YOU THIS ELECTION! Americans are sick of the negative campaigning and have been for a while now. You can’t even call Obama out to his face. You have to have a woman do the dirty work for ya, ya know? Darn right ya do! Wink Wink… Pathetic. Sad and pathetic.
Guess what? The winner of the debate…. “THAT ONE”!

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin sent out a fundraising solicitation today that charged that “the Obama/Biden Democrats have been vicious in their attacks directed toward me, my family and John McCain.”
I asked spokespeople of the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee just which “Obama/Biden Democrats” they’re referring to.
The response I got was that Obama spokesman Mark Bubriski erroneously attacked Palin as a supporter of Pat Buchanan.
That’s it. That’s the evidence.
An attack on Palin herself.
In other words, they can’t name one person affiliated with the Obama-Biden campaign who attacked the Palin family. Read the rest of this entry »
