Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Young Jr., died from an overdose of heroin and morphine, the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner confirmed to PEOPLE on Friday. 

“This case has been closed, it’s been ruled an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication,” coroner spokesman Larry Dietz told PEOPLE. The drug test results had been pending for four months. 

Young was found unresponsive by his mother, Jenita Porter, on August 23rd in their California Hills home.

Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Young, Jr., was found dead over the weekend.

According to reports, Andre Jr. returned home early in the morning on Saturday and was later found unresponsive by his mother. The cause of death is pending.

A rep for the rapper tells us, “Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young, Jr.”

An autopsy was conducted on Young’s body Monday, but a cause of death has not yet been determined, pending the results of a toxicology report, a representative for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office told MTV News. The coroner’s rep confirmed that an Andre Romelle Young Jr. passed away Saturday, but was uncertain if he was Dre’s son; Dre’s rep confirmed that information Tuesday (August 26).
