‘Kill Bill’ star David Carradine, who was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room, may have died from a botched attempt at auto-erotic asphyxiation, says Thai police. The martial arts icon, whose ‘Kung Fu’ TV series reflected his signature combination of slam-bang action and calm reflection, was discovered hanging naked in the wardrobe with a cord around his neck and penis.
The cause of his death appeared to be suicide at first but now the police believe that the star would have died while performing a sexual act on himself which accidentally led to asphyxiation.
“There was a rope tied around his neck and another rope tied at his sex organ, and the two ropes were tied together and hung in the closet,” Sky News quoted Police commander Lieutenant General Worapong Siewpreecha as saying.
“Under these circumstances we cannot be sure that he committed suicide but he may have died from masturbation,” Siewpreecha added.
