Entertainment

I guess in the world of entertainment it doesn’t take long to bounce back from a failed marriage and fresh divorce (that’s not even totally settled) to a new partner. Reports are stating that Guy Ritchie has a new girlfriend in Kelly Reilly.

Is Kelly Reilly really Guy Ritchie new girlfriend?  Us Weekly magazine has the Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce front and center on the cover this week (the magazine hits many newsstands today) and goes deep into the reported insults and back and forth as the pair headed for divorce.

The magazine also has this, A source tells Us (Weekly Magazine) that “Ritchie has already entered a relationship with British actress Kelly Reilly, who is starring in his upcoming drama Sherlock Holmes.”  They don’t have a comment from any of the reps in the item they have posted at the magazine’s website.  More here including pictures of the supposed new couple.

This is just too scary how good she is!!

Drudge reports that Letterman mocked McCain during the show’s taping Wednesday afternoon.

“In the middle of the taping Dave got word that McCain was, in fact just down the street being interviewed by Katie Couric. Dave even cut over to the live video of the interview, and said, “Hey Senator, can I give you a ride home?”

Earlier in the show, Dave kept saying, “You don’t suspend your campaign. This doesn’t smell right. This isn’t the way a tested hero behaves.” And he joked: “I think someone’s putting something in his metamucil.”

“He can’t run the campaign because the economy is cratering? Fine, put in your second string quarterback, Sarah Palin. Where is she?”

“What are you going to do if you’re elected and things get tough? Suspend being president? We’ve got a guy like that now!”

Ellen DeGeneres has taken to her blog to urge her fans in California to vote against Proposition 8, the “The California Marriage Protection Act,” in November.

“Don’t let the name fool you,” DeGeneres writes. “It’s not protecting anyone’s marriage. Not yours. Not mine.”

DeGeneres wed girlfriend Portia de Rossi last month.

“The wording of Prop 8 is tricky,” the comedian says. “It’s like if someone asked you, ‘You don’t want dessert, right?’ But you do want dessert so you say, ‘Yes,’ which really means you don’t want dessert. And if you say, ‘No,’ which means you do want dessert - it sounds like you don’t. Either way, you don’t get what you want.”

DeGeneres concludes: “I’m FOR gay marriage. And in order to protect that right - please VOTE NO on Proposition 8.

“I’m begging you,” she adds. “I can’t return the wedding gifts - I love my new toaster.”

We all knew this day would come.

Following the Aug. 8 birth of his son Parker, singer Clay Aiken is following through on a promise he made to himself as a new dad: to publicly acknowledge that he’s gay.

“It was the first decision I made as a father,” Aiken, 29, tells the upcoming issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

“I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.”

Aiken says he expects the news may overwhelm some of his fans. “Whether it be having a child out of wedlock, or whether it be simply being a homosexual, it’s going to be a lot,” said Aiken, who returned to Broadway last week as Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot

He adds that he hopes his fans “know that I’ve never intended to lie to anybody at all. … But if they leave, I don’t want them to leave hating me.”
