The 2011 Oscar nominations were announced earlier this week, inspiring many to focus your BitTorrent client and downloading. This year, the lowest number of pirate copies of high quality online flight and had to wait longer than in previous years for those without. As we have done in previous years, today we take a look at the availability of the nominated films online, and if there are new trends emrging.
The statistics of all the candidates of 2011, except for documentaries and foreign films category, show that 20 of the 29 films now available on DVD as BitTorrent. More than half of the film have fled as an examiner and 7 of them are estimated to run by members of the Academy.
It should be noted, however, that on average 37 days a distorted image and more losses to come much faster. The average time loss is only 17 days, but the average waiting time is driven by three titles of the film so that the public had to wait over 100 days piracy.
Despite the absence of a strong correlation between the principle of availability, at the box office and piracy, the movie industry remains concerned about piracy and losses that may result. Since the whole movie piracy is growing, it is expected that action against torrent sites and search engine losses intensified throughout 2011.
