Now that an October trial date has been set in the case against Casey Anthony, prosecutors said they are not reconsidering the death penalty.
On Tuesday morning, the state attorney’s spokesman Randy Means told WESH 2 News, “We are preparing for trial as charged.”
Casey Anthony is facing the possibility of life in prison if convicted of first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
Prosecutors said they expect the trial to last about four weeks.
Baez also challenged the release of hundreds of photos, which he said prosecutors are using to embarrass and harass Anthony. Strickland later ruled to allow the release of the photos.
The motion from Baez was heard beginning at 4 p.m Monday.
Baez said in a motion that the photos were on Photobucket.com, a photo-sharing site that contained many images of Anthony partying.
He said the photos are irrelevant to the case and will paint Anthony in a negative light.
I’m afraid she has already painted herself in that light regardless. How very discouraging that the death penalty is not being re-visited. Of course, knowing that she will rot in prison until the day she dies is a nice thought, unfortunately it will be a the tax payer’s expense.

Cant believe they took the death penalty off the table. Although, I heard that its only off the table “FOR NOW”. I hope she gets put in the general population and gets tortured then fry the bitch! Casey you killed Caylee. And you saying that you cared about her you are a lyier. The judge thinks you lied to everyone even the police and your mother and father and also your brother Lee. Casey what does Lee know?????. The Judge thinks that your brother Lee knolws more but he isn’t saying anything.

Why did she ill her daughter? I keep asking myself that question over and over again. I think she killed her to get back at her mother. I think the baby took the attention away from her and she couldn’t stand it, so she took her daughter out of the picture. She is a sick, narcissict with a multiple personality disorder. I keep watching her because I am so shocked to see such a sick person. I have never seen anything like it. She killed her daughter and she doesn’t even care. Amazing.

I was amazed at the liar and manipulator sociopath we all know as Casey (the slut) Anthony.
BUT after watching her parents, Cindy George, in their depostion I can see how Casey was created.
The grandmother, Cindy, is a monster totally suited for physical combat in that old game called RollerDerby in which tough, muscled, crude, and uneducated women beat each other while roller skating.
The father, George, is amazing as the crybaby he is. Watch him! He puts his chin up and snivels “I’m going to walk out in five minutes!” WHhhaaaaaaaa! Poor baby. They say he used to be cop. Yeah? For how long? And I read he was terminated / fired from his job.
The entire family are freaks. And that includes the incest minded brother, Lee. Human garbage. Total freaks.

I agree Gary. I felt sorry for Cindy and George until viewing their deposition. They are horrible parents who spoiled Casey so bad they created a monster and expect everyone else to overlook her evil behavior cause she’s just so “cute”. I don’t think anyone will excuse her behavior, not anyone in their right mind.
