A terrifying moment on the Harry Potter soundstages Wednesday, as Daniel Radcliffe’s stuntman was hospitalized with serious back injuries following an onset mishap.
Because the accident took place during preproduction for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Radcliffe and the film’s marquee stars were not on set at the time.
The injury occurred when the 25-year-old man, who has doubled for Radcliffe on all Potter films and whose name has not been released “out of respect for his family,” was running through stunts at England’s Leavesden Studios.

Lily Allen says she has many reasons to “Smile.” The singer is feeling better with herself – and when she feels good, she keeps the weight off.
While promoting her new album It’s Not Me, Allen, 23, says life “feels good,” the press is treating her more kindly and the secret to being content with her body is to halt her urge to order French fries from room service in order to fill the happiness gap.
“The only reason I have lost weight is because I comfort eat when I’m not very happy,” Allen tells the U.K. tabloid the Sun.”The last two years, even though I had a lot of success with my first record, I was … getting so drunk.

Britney Spears is showing off her svelte and toned bod some more.
She has posted new photos on BritneySpears.com of her working up a sweat as she preps for her upcoming world tour, which kicks off March 3 in her home state of Louisiana.
In the latest shots, Spears dances and claps in workout gear as she rehearses with her tour crew. (Jamie King, who choreographed her 2000 tour, will join Spears again on the road.)
Spears has shed 20 pounds in recent months, whittling her waistline to its trimmest in years, thanks to two-hour cardio-and-strength-training workouts three times a week (on top of dance rehearsals), Us Weekly recently reported.
“It’s a nonstop workout,” Bally Total Fitness trainer Steven Boggs, who has worked with Spears, recently told Usmagazine.com of the routine, which includes moves like shoulder presses and jump squats.
Joaquin Phoenix’s rep is denying reports that his rap career is a hoax.
“The transition from one career to another is never seamless. It should come as no surprise to anyone that Joaquin came from a musical family, in addition to winning a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Johnny Cash,” his rep tells MTV News. “He intends on exploring his musical interests despite speculative, negative or positive reactions.”
Entertainment Weekly had previously reported that Phoenix — along with brother-in-law Casey Affleck — was playing an elaborate, Andy Kaufman-esque prank on the media (and that his publicists were a part of it).

Jessica Simpson’s former trainer, The 5-Factor Diet author Harley Pasternak, is defending the singer’s new fuller figure.
“She has curves where a woman needs to have curves. We all go a little bit up and a little bit down. But she’s healthy,” Pasternak tells Extra.
At Sunday’s Kiss Country Chili Cookout in Pembroke Pines, Fla., the 28-year-old singer — dressed in high-waisted jeans and a double belt — shocked fans with her new curves.
But Pasternak says “she’s still sexy. She’s still a beautiful woman. And I have no problem with the way she looks.”
Adds the trainer, “I think if more people looked the way she looks now, the country would be a lot healthier.”
